In the fourth quarter of 2009, the merger between these two complimentary organizations was completed with the goal of consolidating operations and to more tightly integrate the solutions being researched and developed by each of them.

"The merger makes a lot of sense," says Greg DeBor, a Partner in the CSC Healthcare division. "Technology is removing the boundaries between what in the past have been viewed as separate administrative and clinical processes. These lines are blurring. Payers and providers are working to improve healthcare delivery across the board, with many overlapping patient outcome and service goals between them, so why not bring these efforts together? The individual programs can now collaborate more easily and share the technical innovations being produced."
